Gong Sound Immersion with Roger

Gong Sound Immersion with Roger

When: Tuesday, August 27, 2019, 7:00pm to 8:15pm

Experience the ancient therapeutic sound of a variety of gongs that your body, mind, and spirit will really appreciate!  The gongs invite us to experience sound in a surprising and highly personal way.  This sound energy can open pathways to relax, quiet your mind, balance energy, meditate, release emotional tension, have a spiritual experience, feel better, or just fall asleep.  Simply lie back and let the transformative sound of the gongs meet you where you are and  take you where you need to go!

We’ll begin with a short introduction to the session, followed by 60 minutes of sound immersion from a variety of gongs, and end with a few minutes of silence to integrate your experience.  Please bring whatever you need to be comfortable (mat, blanket, pillow, etc.) for lying or sitting on the floor.  Some mats and blankets are available at the center.  Invite your friends!

About Roger

Roger Tjoelker, owner of Transformative Sound, is a gong player based in Seattle. He performs at various events and venues throughout the region. The first time he heard the gong, he immediately knew that he had to learn to play and bring this amazing transformative sound to as many interested people as possible. Roger has received training from Wayne Marto of Beneficial Sound and has completed the Gong Therapy Certification Course offered by Gong Master Mehtab Benton.  He plays with intuition and intention, using a variety of gongs and mallets to provide a spectrum of sound energy that relaxes and transforms.
