Ongoing Free Offerings at Pacific Cultural Center
Study of the Bagavad Gita in the presence of Baba Hari Dass
This class goes from 8:30-10:00am on Thursday, where we chant vedic verses in Sanskrit and listen to the translation and meaning of the verses from the sacred Vedic text the Bhagavad Gita. Baba Hari Dass then answers questions about the text.
You can stay for chai kitchari and bagels after class if you like.
Free Introductory Yoga Class
This class is offered in the studio from 7:30-9:00am each Saturday. It covers the basic breathing practices taught in Baba Hari Dass’ Ashtanga yoga program. That is followed by a short meditation, which is followed by simple gentle and level 1 asanas.
You can take this course to try the Ashtanga yoga for free, and can return as many times as you like. As you progress, you can opt to join the more advanced classes offered on the schedule.
Hanuman Fellowship Satsang
We come together for kirtan, readings, breathing practices and a meditation twice a month. It is a small portion of what you would experience at a Mt Madonna retreat.
The next ones at Pacific Cultural Center will be Dec 4 and Jan 6.
Generally they are on the first Sunday at Pacific Cultural Center from 1:00-3:00pm and 3:00-5:00pm the third Sunday at Mt Madonna.
Call the hotline news at 426-YOGA (9642) for updated information about these and more upcoming events.
